Terms of Service

Last updated: 2 September 2026 Version: 1.0 Applies to: the extension and Audio Catcher Pro

In plain language

  • Audio Catcher lists the audio files a page has already loaded in your own browser session, so you can save them without doing it by hand.
  • It gives you no access you did not already have. It cannot read DRM-protected streams and does not bypass logins or paywalls.
  • You are responsible for holding the rights to anything you export. Using it to infringe copyright is a breach of these terms.
  • The free plan is free forever. Pro is a subscription you can cancel yourself at any time, from inside the extension.

1. Who you are contracting with

Audio Catcher (also listed on the Chrome Web Store as "Music and Audio Catcher") is developed and operated by Wesley Dionisio, an independent developer based in Brazil, trading as Sericell (sericell.com.br). In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" refer to that operator, and "you" refers to the person or organisation using the extension.

Payments for Audio Catcher Pro are not taken by us. They are taken by Paddle, acting as merchant of record and as the seller of record for the subscription. Paddle's own terms apply to the payment transaction itself, in addition to these terms, which govern your use of the software.

2. What the service is

Audio Catcher is a Chrome extension that runs in the browser's side panel. While you browse, it observes the media requests the page you are on has already made, and lists the resulting audio files with their format, size and duration, plus a waveform and an inline player. You can then export a file in the format the page served it in, or convert it to MP3 or WAV.

Ordinary audio conversion is performed locally by a build of ffmpeg compiled to WebAssembly. When you explicitly request a TikTok or Instagram download, the extension sends that public post URL and the requested output format to our server, which obtains and converts the media for you. The generated file is temporary and is automatically removed after its download window expires.

The extension is a convenience and automation tool. You must only download content you own or are otherwise permitted to save, and remain responsible for complying with the platform's terms and law.

3. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to purchase a subscription. By using the service you confirm that you can enter into a binding contract and that you are not barred from doing so under any applicable law.

The free plan requires no account, no email address and no payment details. An account exists only so that a Pro subscription can follow you between machines. If you create one, you are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for everything done under your account. Tell us promptly at contato@sericell.com.br if you believe it has been used without your permission.

Pro is licensed to one person. You may sign in on the machines you personally use. You may not share an account with other people or resell access to it.

4. Acceptable use

Audio Catcher is intended for people who already have access to, and the right to keep, the material they are collecting — for example auditing the audio your own site or application ships, gathering assets you own or have licensed, quality-assurance and development work against real media, or retrieving your own uploads and recordings from a service.

You agree that you will not

  • use the extension to obtain, copy, distribute or publish material you do not own and are not licensed or otherwise authorised to use;
  • use it in a way that breaches the terms of service of any website you visit;
  • attempt to circumvent, disable or defeat any digital rights management, encryption, access control, paywall or other technical protection measure, whether by using the extension or alongside it;
  • use it to access material behind an account or subscription that is not yours;
  • redistribute, resell, sublicense or make the extension available as a service to third parties;
  • decompile, reverse engineer or attempt to derive the source of the paid components, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits it;
  • interfere with, overload or attempt to gain unauthorised access to our servers or accounts, or use automated means to create accounts or trigger conversions at abnormal volume;
  • use the extension for any purpose that is unlawful where you are, or where the material originates.

What the software will not do

These are limits built into the product, not merely promises. The extension cannot read DRM-protected streams, because encrypted services never expose a plain audio file to the browser and no attempt is made to decrypt one. It does not bypass authentication, paywalls or access controls: it only observes requests your own session has already made, and it requests no access to your cookies, so it cannot authenticate as you anywhere.

Enforcement. Deciding whether you may keep a particular file is your responsibility, not ours — we have no visibility into what you capture, and no way to assess your rights to it. Accounts we reasonably believe are being used to infringe copyright, to breach a site's terms of service, or to circumvent technical protection measures will be terminated without a refund, and we may report the matter where the law requires it.

5. Plans, billing and renewal

Free plan

The free plan is not a trial. It does not expire, requires no payment details and includes unlimited export in the format the page served, the full catalogue, waveforms, player, search, filters and bulk ZIP export in the original format. It is limited to three MP3 conversions per calendar day, reset at your local midnight, and does not include WAV conversion or bulk conversion. It also shows a small banner promoting Pro.

Audio Catcher Pro

Pro is a recurring subscription, offered monthly or annually. The current prices are shown on the pricing page and inside the extension, and both read the same source, so what you see quoted is what will be charged. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any local taxes, which Paddle calculates and adds at checkout where they apply.

Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period — monthly or annually, matching the plan you chose — at the then-current price for that plan, until you cancel. You authorise Paddle to charge your chosen payment method for each renewal. If we change the price of a plan, the change will not affect a period you have already paid for, and we will give you notice by email before a renewal at a higher price so that you can cancel first.

If a renewal payment fails, Paddle will retry it over a period of several days. Pro remains active during those retries. If the payment ultimately fails, the account returns to the free plan; nothing you have already exported is affected and you can resubscribe at any time.

You may switch between the monthly and annual plans from Manage subscription inside the extension. Changes are prorated against what you have already paid.

6. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel at any time, yourself, from the extension's settings under Manage subscription. No email to us is required. On cancellation you keep Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for, and the account then returns to the free plan. We do not delete anything you have exported — those files are on your own machine and we never had them.

Refunds are covered in full by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: write to us within 14 days of a charge and we refund it in full, no reason required.

7. Intellectual property

The extension, this website, and their design, code and content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the extension for as long as you comply with these terms. The software is licensed to you, not sold.

The extension bundles open-source components under their own licences, including ffmpeg compiled to WebAssembly, WaveSurfer.js (BSD-3-Clause) and JSZip. Those licences govern those components and nothing in these terms restricts rights granted to you by them.

We claim no ownership over any audio you capture or export. That material remains subject to whatever rights its owner holds, which is precisely why section 4 puts the responsibility for it on you.

8. Third-party services

The extension is distributed through the Chrome Web Store and is subject to Google's terms for that platform. We are not affiliated with Google, nor with any website the extension is used on.

Subscriptions are sold and processed by Paddle as merchant of record. Card details are entered on Paddle's checkout and never pass through this website or the extension; we receive only your email address, your subscription status and the plan.

The extension requests favicons from Google's public favicon service in order to show a small icon next to a captured file's source. That request contains the domain of the site, and no other information about you.

9. Availability and changes to the service

We aim to keep the service available and working, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Websites change constantly, and a page that works today may change how it delivers audio tomorrow. We may add, change or remove features. If we discontinue a paid feature you are actively paying for, you may cancel and we will refund the unused portion of your current period.

Browsers also change. If Google alters the extension platform in a way that removes a capability, we will do what we reasonably can, but we cannot guarantee that any specific behaviour will survive a browser update.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the extension will work on any particular website, that it will capture any particular file, that conversion will succeed for any particular input, or that its operation will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Nothing here excludes any warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded, including consumer rights you may have under Brazilian consumer law or the law of your own country.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data or business interruption, arising out of or relating to your use of the service, even if we have been advised of the possibility.

Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you actually paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or US$50.

We are not liable for how you use the extension. You alone are responsible for ensuring you have the right to keep and use the material you export, and you agree to indemnify us against any third-party claim arising from your use of the extension in breach of section 4.

These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

12. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the extension at any time by uninstalling it, and may cancel a subscription as described in section 6.

We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, if you breach these terms — in particular section 4 — or if we are required to do so by law. Where a breach is serious, and specifically where an account is used to infringe copyright or to circumvent technical protection measures, termination is immediate and no refund is due. Where a breach is minor and capable of being fixed, we will normally contact you first.

Sections 7, 10, 11, 13 and any other provision that by its nature should survive, survive termination.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of Brazil have jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to them.

If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you habitually reside, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts where the law gives you that right.

Before starting formal proceedings, please write to us — most issues are resolved by email within a couple of business days.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product and the law change. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current version. If a change is material — for example a change to pricing terms, to acceptable use, or to your rights — we will give notice by email to subscribers, or through the extension, before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms. If you do not accept them, cancel and stop using the extension.
